The Terrace Inn was originally built in 1933 as a Cottage/Hunting Resort on the outskirts of the quaint but bustling village of Wilberforce. In the early years the Veneer Plant, mines and IB&O Railway in addition to large logging operations kept the area a buzz.
It is said the 13th Prime Minister of Canada stayed at The Terrace Inn in 1957. In the years following 1957 and throughout our 80 plus year history we have catered more to families and great vacations than celebrities. The Terrace Inn is the perfect family vacation location!
The Terrace Inn Cottage Resort is family owned and operated by proud owners Freddie and Rosa Ore. They offer newly renovated cottages with the original rustic look and feel. This traditional, kid and pet friendly resort caters to all ages with a dynamic choice of activities on or off the resort. The cottage we had was so comfortable and cozy. Our hosts, Fred and Rosa are fantastic , always asking if everything is ok and if we need anything to let them know. We have been goin there every 6 months to a year , and we always enjoy the view of the lake and beach area. Everything is so clean and tidy. A perfect getaway. We always enjoy there and keep going back. We did a lot of kayaking , and visiting family up there.
